Violinist
Born in 2001 in Vänersborg, Sweden, Ida Wadenbrandt grew up in a musical family, where she developed a deep love for music from an early age. She began playing the violin at the age of seven and has since embarked on a rich and varied musical journey.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in music from Ingesund School of Music, studying under Professor Magnus Ericsson, and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree.
Ida has performed with orchestras such as the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and Orquestra POP Portuguesa, and has appeared as a soloist with ensembles including the Sweden Symphony Orchestra – where she serves as concertmaster – Borås Symphony Orchestra, Ingesund Symphony Orchestra, and Camerata MHI. Her expressive playing, marked by a passionate and warm tone, has moved audiences across the world.
She has also had the honor of performing for the Swedish royal couple, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Her artistic collaborations span both classical and crossover genres, working with artists such as Robert Wells, Loreen, Carola, Nils Landgren and Malena Ernman. Ida has appeared on prominent stages including the Kremlin Palace, Berwaldhallen, Gothenburg Concert Hall, Helsingborg Concert Hall, Moscow International House of Music, and Ullevi Stadium. In 2024–2025, she served as concertmaster and soloist on Robert Wells’ Rhapsody in Rock New Year’s tour in China.
Ida has been awarded scholarships from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, the Vänersborg Cultural Scholarship (2021), and the Cathja Mörner Scholarship (2023). She has participated in festivals and masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Malin Broman, Alf Richard Kraggerud, Christian Svarfvar, Peter Herresthal and members of the Danish String Quartet. Blending classical and popular music with ease, Ida has gained recognition as a unique and dynamic artist in the global music scene.
